Screenshot processing and retention

When you choose a screenshot, the browser reads and decodes it locally so the page can display and compare pixels. The application code does not send the selected image to an application server. After you confirm an import, the raw image bytes are stored automatically in this site’s IndexedDB database together with the project metadata needed to find them. They can remain available across browser restarts until you remove the capture, delete the project, clear this site’s data, or the browser evicts the data.

Temporary object URLs may exist while a project is open. The service worker caches only application-shell files and deliberately excludes screenshots, findings, and exports.

Browser storage

The workbench stores screenshot bytes, filenames and capture metadata, locale plans, findings, notes, region masks, captured evidence, preferences, and project settings in the browser profile on the current device. This data is not encrypted by the application. Other people using the same unlocked profile may be able to access it. Code served later from the same site origin could also access that origin’s storage, so a production deployment should use a dedicated, trusted origin.

The storage panel can ask the browser for persistent-storage protection, but the browser decides whether to grant it. Private-browsing modes, storage eviction, site-data cleanup, browser policy, or device loss can still remove data without notice. A “session only” warning means durable IndexedDB storage was unavailable and the project will not survive the tab closing.

Confirmed capture intake stores the project record and its new image bytes in one local transaction. Removing a capture replaces the project record and deletes image bytes only when no other local project references them. Undo can retain image bytes temporarily so Redo works; when that branch is abandoned, the app records the exact candidate keys and rechecks all project references before cleanup. The storage panel can also inspect and delete exact unreferenced image items left by an interrupted older session. Deleting a project fails closed when the browser cannot confirm persistent deletion.

Application deletion is not a forensic secure-erase guarantee: browser internals, operating-system snapshots, backups, downloaded exports, or synchronized copies may retain data. Use the in-app controls for ordinary deletion or remove all site data through browser settings. Deletion does not retract an export you already downloaded, emailed, copied, synchronized, or stored elsewhere. An exported project file is the durable backup.

Exports and downloads

An export is created only when you request it. After download, the file is governed by the destination folder, device backups, synchronization software, workplace policy, and any system to which you upload it. Review exported evidence before sharing.

Network requests and offline use

The host that serves these static files may receive ordinary request data such as IP address, requested path, user agent, timestamp, and security logs under the host’s own policy. This application does not add analytics requests. After a successful first visit, the service worker may cache application files for offline use; the browser controls that cache.

Browser extensions, security products, managed-device tooling, DNS providers, operating systems, and network intermediaries are outside this application’s control.

If you email socialreminderinfo@gmail.com, the email and anything you attach are processed by your mail provider, Google’s Gmail service, and the recipient’s mailbox. Do not attach confidential screenshots, credentials, or customer data. Send a sanitized reproduction where possible.

Children, changes, and questions

The workbench is intended for professional or educational software-review use and is not directed to children. This notice may change when the application’s data behaviour changes. The updated date will change with it.
